First of all,I would like to say that I am kind of new in car modelling(i mean,i have done some models 10 years ago,but that`s equivalent to none :) ),so don`t be surprised if some things aren`t the way they should be. :icon16:
So,as a big fan of all Bmw vehicles (after all, they are producing the best cars in the world :iceslolan :evillol: ),i decided to build some plastic models.
I ordered Fujimi Schnitzer S5,Fujimi E30 325i,Tamiya 635csi gr.A and Tamiya 320i racing jaegermeister.
First in line,the Schnitzer S5:

I haven`t devoted much attention to the suspension and the whole bottom of the car. After all,it is very low detailed, just 7 pieces. And yes,i know i blew it up with a gloss black,it will be better next time. So,let the pictures speak for themselves:

http://freeweb.siol.net/jtra/schnitzer6.jpg
http://freeweb.siol.net/jtra/schnitzer7.jpg
So,what do you think?Am I on a good way?
So,let`s move to the body,it will be in this color:
http://www.bmwinfo.com/pictures/00158.jpg
I know it`s not a typical schnitzer color,but i like it.
And for the seats,i thought they would be in black(edges) and blue(inward) combination, the same would apply to the door panels as well,so black and blue.
Any comments are appreciated... :)
Till` the next time (end of the week),greetings,Biggie

I like the color you have chosen, it should compliment the car.

Very good color choice and kits. :sunglasse
But, I heard that Fujimi E30 325i is not a good kit because it looks stretched (longer than the actual car).

It will be converted to E30 M3,but that`s my little secret(well,it was until now... :icon16: )...
And yes,I saw a picture somewhere, and it rally looks a little strecthed, will see about that, maybe cutting it a little would help... :smokin:

Just about the M-Power... Is this car going to be M-Powered or are you keeping it curbside
Except for the color,it will be completly original, just like in the papers.
And,i won`t paint any indicator lights to orange, but I will leave them clear.Looks much better...IMO.

Not "little" stretched. IMO it is VERY stretched. :eek7:
You definitely have to cut it.

The Fujimi E30 kits suck. No two ways about it. I have the M3 kit, and sooner or later I'm gonna rip at it with some major body work- but the damn thing is sooo chunky, I hardly know where to start!
Some critical advice on the 635CSi- if you're going to build it up as the group A racer and use the kit decals (and it would be a shame not to! ), the lower trim rail below the door sill must be removed from the body! The decals will not fit with it in place, and Tamiya never bothers to point this out in the instructions. It's depressing if you manage to find a pic of this kit built up in one of the old Tamiya catalogs (say, circa 1990). The decals are applied over this ridge, and are stretched so they reach the bottom of the side panel- they don't even lay flat on the body for 1/4" or so on either side of the trim. It's such a gorgeous model otherwise. Never could figure out why Tamiya never addressed this.
Always great to see another Bimmerhead here! :ylsuper:
