1997 sunfire timing chain

The timing belt just went out in my sunfire, and my mechanic says that it'll be about $250 to replace it. Is this accurate?

no maybe 250 dollars for labour added but the timming chain only cost me lik 37 dollars canadian and its not hard to do ur self until u put the drive belt back on lol. and its probly not ur chian sence the 97 2.2l has a tensioner on the timing chian .. i know cause i just machiened my heads and replaced my chain for the heck of it.
