Maybe most of us would have prefered an anonymous vote, but it doesn't matter! Those I haven't voted for should know I consider them as masters. I don't feel my own taste should be hidden! .... Thinking about it a little more I would have liked to give another vote to other competitors (something like a podium)...

now. its not my favorite car of the bunch, but I believe it represents the hardest most skillfull build (not that the others aren't skilled, its just that I feel that car required the most work)

I love willmo's engine detail WOW!!! one of the nicest curbside gone full detail EVAR!!!

This is so, so hard I have been looking for 15 mins, time to decide.......But Willimo's wins my vote as the engine and back end are awesome work.

I'd like to add a little justification to my vote. Every entry (and I mean every entry) was done very well, far beyond my current ability, but I think I can somewhat gauge how difficult these builds were. In the end, I considered that this was a contest to display custom bodywork. So I considered that aspect, but I also heavily considered other detail items in the car, and especially whether the custom looked 'clicked'. In other words, does it look good? p9o1r1sche's build is really far out there, but it looks like something that a majour car designer would approve of and roll out their assembly line.

Some very difficult models to rule out, though.
Slo Snipe - seemless conversion to 4 doors. Looks like a Hasegawa, or maybe even a Tamiya kit tool. Very nice.
Rtuned - I'm not familiar with this kit, so I'm not sure how much modification was done, but I'm sure it was extensive. Looks very nice. Flawless paint.
Willimo - LOVE the engine. But I'm not totally keen on the hard-top, even though that is probably what the production model will look like. Of course this is a matter of taste, but hey, it is therefore also not as 'custom' of a car. Nonetheless, a phenominal build, very well done.
Vric - I gotta say you were tough to rule out. Nice work. The widebody really affects the look of the car.
UKSupraboy - wow, what a build. This one was a bit of a personal preference again. The colour doesn't really 'click' again, IMHO. I don't know what to say, it is an awesome build, but not everyone could win this contest.
customminiatures - Don't know what to say here, either. I like the truck, but I think I would have either left off, or changed the biggest selling feature of it... that great big canopy.
Mean_B16 - love the paint, and I love the look. It just wasn't as extensively modified in this very difficult competition.

Anyway, as I said before, somebody had to be a winner, and I'm voting for p9o1r1sche, but I honestly don't think there were any losers in this competition.

I agree with the above 3 paragraphs.

Voting could be F1 style... that way there's more points as well and a tie is far less likely.

Thanks again to everyone who had input to the build of my car and thanks to all the voters and entrants (especially Willimo, who made it a real contest). I'll accept the banner as my prize and will put it in my sig when I get back home (I'm not at my computer right now). I think it was a fun contest and kept me motivated to complete the project. I hope we see more contests like this one on AF!
