Hey I just installed my small 16g and i have 2 problems.
1- i have a oil leak from the banjo bolt that goes into the turbo and i have tightend the crap out of it and it still leaks, could i put teplon tape on it or would that stuff just melt or hurt the turbo.
2- i know i need new injectors but they say i can use the stock ones if i dont boost over 13psi. Well i m at 8 psi and i get fuel cut bad, but only when i floor it if i keep it a little past halway throttle i can tach all the way to 6k, if i floor it i get fuel cut at like 4 r 5k

Did you use a crsh washer on BOTH sides of that banjo fitting? Dont over tighten it (~22 ft-lbs), they break easily! The threads are not meant to seal, you need crush washers on both sides. You can get them from the dealer if you lost them, or need new ones (if they are both there and it leaks, you need new ones). Sometimes you can find aluminum ones at the hardware store, though I forget what they call them. They jus have to be soft, like copper (stock) or aluminum....
There is no way you are getting fuel cut at 8 psi, on any turbo. You must be experiencing some type of stutter from an ignition related problem, or there are some boost leaks as a result of the turbo installation causing an over rich condition (can also induce real fuel cut at low boost, but it would have to be a huge leak to get it at 8 psi). Make the leak tester on vfaq and test it if you havent already.

Yea i have both crush washers on but i think i'm going to order the SS oil line b/c alot of people have told me they had the same oil leak problem from those banjo bolts.
I know i shouldnt be getting fuel cut at 8psi b/c they say on the stock stup it should be good until 13psi. I have no idea wtf is wrong. Its like im getting tomuch feul b/c at half trottle i can tach all the way to redline but if i try to WOT it, it like pops or something and falls on its face for a second and i hurry and let off it.

Sounds like a boost leak.
Also for what its worth, I never saw fuel cut on the T25 (dont think its big enough) or the 14b. But I check constantly for boost leaks.
Also note that buying a stainless feed line doesnt get rid of the banjo fitting, iut just comes with another one :D

oh lol, but thanks for the help, so i'll check tomorrow all my intecolling pipes and all hopefully i can fix this. Also one more comment on my turbo. I seen on a few pics on websites of a small 16g that they have a boost source nipple on the 16g's ive seen on the websites but i didnt have one on mine, the guy at exteampsi.com said hook the mbc
up to the wastegate and to a vacuum source ( i T'd mine into the same hose as my boost guage.

Yeah, most poeple run it off the BOV line. That way you can use the larger 1/4" lines instead of the smaller 3/16 lines used elsewhere on the car. Helps a bit with boost spike.

you may want to invest in some t-bolt clamps to ensure no leaking from the piping. Has anyone come across any good deals on some t-bolt clamps?

YES! Most DSM shops charge 5 bucks for tbolt clamps. I just picked up a dozen from NAPA. Even a 4.75 inch tbolt clamp was only 2.69. They had every size I needed in stock too. Amazing... NAPA is the place to be for tblot clamps. They have a couple styles too, depending on how much clamping force you need. Check it out.

I think i found my problem, i looked under my hood and moved the airfilter/MAS and noticed that the dumb tube that runs to the BOV was loose, i tightend it and havnt tried it yet b/c im still in class, but hopefully that will be my fix.

ok that didnt fix it, y would it only cut out when im at WOT and not when im like half throttle. I can only tach to 4-5k rpm till it cuts out at WOT with about 8 or 9 psi, but when i go half throttle and push it to about 8psi i can tach all the way to redline.

Ok i fixed it, i went back and addjusted all the hose clamps and tightend them up a crap load and adjusted the boost a little and now its working, thanks for all the info, I'm going to the track this weekend and i'll post sometimes

OK sorry to bring this thread from the dead but i found m problem. The guy that installed my motor tok a look a it and said Im running rich, and that is why i was shooting carbon out the exhaust in the morning with the moister in the pipe. How the hell am i running rich. is there anyway to adjust it under the hood, without going buy that S-AFC. is the S-AFC a good fuel computer for what mods i have. I dont have the budget for the DSMLink and im not planning on modding it anymore till i get out of college. in about 2years.

check for boost leaks! is your BOV recirculating or vented? a S-AFC is a great fuel controller for what mods you have and if you did get it you can lean/richen your exhaust to where it runs perfect!

No, there are no ways to adjust the mixture on a stock car. The only reason you would be running rich is if you had a problem such as an air leak (very common), a broken injector... those kinds of problems. I've heard though that the 2g's run a little rich from the factory. Is it causing you any problems until you get an AFC?

My BOV is reciculating, i've looked for leaks but cant find any, i tried to build that boost leask teaster but whn i hooked it up it didnt work, i may have to redo it and silicon it up and try again.
It gets carbon" smut" built up in the exhaust and when it sits for a while moister gets in it and when i start it, it looks like oil is spitting out the exhaust but i found out it is smut from running real rich.
Ok well im going to get this http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=16346&cat=257&page=1 for now till i graduate then i'll turn the gs-t into the track car that will need the DSMLink.

good choice... i'd go with the 550cc's for now with the 190lph pump unless you want to buy a fuel pressure regulator! if so then go with the 255lph pump!
