Can someone tell me how I can go about removing the starter from a 95 chevy blazer 4.3 v6 4WD I got the mounting screws undone but I can't reach the wires. The starter is loose but I can't get it to come out of there :banghead: I don't know what else to do. It seems that the starter is too long to take it out from there. Can someone please give me some ideas or info on what I need to do to get it out from under the truck.

I had a 94, pretty sure its the same one. But I had to loosen the engine mount and hoist up the engine on a floor jack to get enough clearence. I have heard of others that remove the cross member under the transfer case to to the same thing. One way or the other, its not a fun job... I feel for you

I sure hope it isn't that hard to remove the starter......If it is this will be the last chevy I will ever own.
I am having the same problem The starter just won't come down and this is on a 1987 Jimmy, I guess I'll just try the crost member.

Hi Ndaniel
I am not sure the 95 is the "older" body style. The ones with the sealed beam Headlights. if so My post above still applies. One you get the engine moved up out of the way the starter will drop out and you can disconnect the wires.
