Odd problems with Delco/Bose Stereo replacement

I have a 1996 Camaro (3800 V6) and it came with the Delco/Bose Cd player and 8" sub, My head unit was not tuning to any other station than 94.5 FM so I replaced it with a JVC Kameleon. since the install every time I power up the unit I get static over all the speakers, wheather the unit is at minimum volume or not, i know that the wiring harness is done correctly and all speakers cut out when I disconnect the antenna power wire, which I assume powers up the Amplifier. My questions are these: Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone kow the impedence of the Bose Speakers? Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how to correct this problem? I would apreciate any help you could give.

Get rid of the bose system in all. They are a pain in the ass.. Sounds like you have distortion from a speaker that wants to blow.. Replacing all the factory speakers are costly but I worked with a lot of bose systems and they suck especially if you have a amp on each speakers.. Good luck....

Yes i do.. Go to best buy circuit city and the sell a product for 30 bucks.. I have only used it when a bose sytems doesnt respond to a aftermarket radio.. you are still going to get the distortion so buying the device is not going to matter.. Bose makes great products when first bought but makes it a pain in the ass to replace the whole system or speaker... It in your best bet to find an area sound shop that knows what they are doing and replace the speakers.. Speaker choice is up to you. I prefer JL audio.. Pioneer for a head unit.. your choice.. Before you do all of that go over the wiring harness yourself.. Make sure there are no loose wires.. Hope everything works out for ya...
