dont forget about the sawzall to get the old one off. its way more fun to cut it off than to undo all the bolts.

all i have to say to that is :disappoin . If you do that then you'll have an opening somewhere along the in your system making it illegal if you have emissions testing and also losing more backpressure, which on a v6 you dont want. Just take off the bolts.

I think what cndcntrj meant was it would be easier to cut the system off than battle with the rusty bolts. As long as the new system was installed properly, there should be no leaks. Just be careful where you sawzall. Think twice before cutting once.

well thanks alot guys but he took the easy inexpensive root instead and got ravin's from midas...they dont sound too bad for a v6 but they need to be broken in so they can lose some kick back noise

how much were the ravins....what exactly did he get and how much?....how much hp and tq u think he gained?

the ravins were z55 dual outlet 320$ for everything(muffler, 3 inch pipes etc) including install...so pretty inexpensive. i have no idea to tell the truth about the hp and tq gain, he seems to think the tq stayed the same.

do you think the ravin setup is better than flowmasters?

yes, but both pretty much suck. my friend who just got the ravin's sounds fine till he gets above 3000 rpm then kicky rice sounds come out...which nobody wants. they say that it will diminish and get deaper over time but i dunno how much. if u want quality nice sounding v6 exhaust go with magnaflow for sure.
