Shifter knob removal

How do you remove the shifter knob off of a 95 Grand Am?? I removed the horse shoe style clip on the side but this thing is wedged on if that is the only thing holding it. Please advise. Thanks

I thought they just pulled straight up, you may have to push the button in, to pull the shifter knob off....
