does lowering a car help performence??

yeah i was just wondering because i got a 1.5 drop and i wanna get it lower would that help any?.

i heard if u drop the front a lil more than the back it gives u more hp to the wheels , is that true?.

Lowering a car does help with cornering since you are lowering the center of gravity. But being too low can have the opposite effect for handling. Being too low means you are riding on the bump stops and you need suspension travel to make the car handle properly.

just a simple question.... so im guessing 2 inch drop is 2 low.
i should just stick with the 1.5

A 2" drop is good. Anything lower and you might need to install a camber kit. Then you also have to watch out for steep driveways and speed bumps too.

If you slam it to the ground in the front and leave the back at stock height, it'll reduce wheel hop when you launch at a drag race, which means atleast 30-40 more hp to the wheels, plus it'll reduce the amount of air that travels under the car. That's why you see all those profession drag racers with their cars slanted forward. Plus it makes you look you're a racer so people won't fuck with you.

But you also need to get a big NOPI sticker for your hood or else everyone will think you're just a dumbass.

If you slam it to the ground for drag racing and leave the rears up, make sure you dial out camber cause 0 camber is perfect for the whole tire to get contact.

and let some air out of the tire. I was watching PHM and the guy said that with this Nitto 555R drag radials, he got the best results with just 20 psi.

Dude, slow down, he isn't saying that it will make 30-40hp, he is talking transferance of power will be greater.

Actually, I was bullshitting the entire thing under the presumption "Stupid questions deserve stupid answers," and I assumed that 30-40hp would be outrageous enough that everyone would get that. I also added the NOPI sticker to help it along.

Plus, seeing people slam their cars to the ground in the front and leave the back at stock height looks funny as hell when they're driving around on the streets and trying to go over speed bumps.

The funny thing is, there are so many idiots in here that most of us thought you were serious.
