how hard to change the steering rack on a 93 interpid

how bad if a job is this, freind got quoted 600 for the job. the rack is 150 bucks. I didnt look at it yet but im a VW mechanic so im not sure how similar it would be.

Since you did ask - $600.00 or so for the job is a fair price.
Time@ 4 1/2 - 5 hrs
Parts@ $250.00
A reman' rack, tie rod bushing kit, fluid. Sounds fair to me (as long as it is done at a Dodge dealership). By the way, the job is a bit of a pain in the @$$.
