I'm looking at both of these SUV's. I love the 10yr/10,000 mile warranty of the Sante Fe, but I'm looking at a super deal on a 2003 used Saturn Vue with only 8,000 miles.
I've read both forums, but still can't decide. What have others discovered during comparisons of these two vehicles?

Back in September of 2002, my mom was getting off a leased Ford, and was deciding between a Santa Fe, Vue, or a Ford Escape. Being that we had a Ford and were very unhappy, we were down to the Vue and the Santa Fe. We didn't care for the Vue on many reasons. It was not a good value for the money. what we got on the Santa Fe, would have cost $2,000 more for a Vue. Saturn has claims like dent resistent doors made of polymer. I know a person with a saturn, and they do not dent, they completely crack if you get hit, instead of a dent, you have a whole, or a crack, etc. My moms has 33,000 miles on it now, and no problems or recalls. She is happy with it. Good Luck!

Stay with the Santa Fe
Its a good vehicle and if you have a problem, the dealer will handle it for you 10 years/100K mile warranty is the best in the biz.......I know....my wife has one.

Welcome to the forum Linda559 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=157578)
For the price, safety, options/values and warranty the Santa Fe can't be beat. Plus Hyundai has one of the best online technical service anywhere. You can look up diagrams, and service bulletins.
Choose but choose wisely.

I also failed to mention that no matter what we here in the forum can say, the bottom line is that only you can decide whats best for you and how you feel driving the vehicle around. I would therefore suggest to test drive both. But when doing so be prepared to note each and every little thing you like or dislike on both test drives. In one of the websites listed below there is a checklist that will assist you in the test drive. This way when you are finished test driving the vehicles you will have a reference to fall back on that will help you remember every little good or bad thing on the test drive. Trust me it helps, cause at times one tends to forget the little things and if could make a difference if you add them all up to come to a conclusion.
Have fun on the test drive and keep us posted on your final choice.
