So isnt our gas tanks suppose to be 11.9 gallons right? Well everytime I am pegged on Empty, I fill it up all the way and only get 9 gallons pumped into my tank, then the gauge reads full. Umm any of you guys know if this is normal or possibly a bad sensor?

Mine is actually around 10.9 gallons...
Maybe you've got a few Kilos of weed stashed in your tank? LOL.

HFs I heard had 8 or 9 gallon tanks and the rest of the Civics had 11.9. Even when really on empty and driving for a while I don't think I've ever gotten more than 9+ gallons in the tank.

ive consistently gotten 10.9 gallons in my tank on my DX. and ive gotten 398 miles on that tank. i guess its because i watch my miles instead of the gas gauge.
my old STD got the same, 10.9 gallons.
anyone else notice that the gas gauge stays on full for like 100 miles, and then finally starts to move? and also that once it gets past the halfway point, it moves very fast in comparison to the the top half?

Mine is just the opposite, it drops off full really fast and once it gets to half way it it doesnt hardly move at all.

Yeah the first half of my tank lasts forever and the second half goes as fast as a mo-fo.

There's about a gallon of fuel in the tank that isn't really usuable 'cuz the stuff is sloshing around so much. The gauge shows empty when its a good time to fill up, not when its really empty.

I think all the car companies do this for those people that like to push the limits of how much gas you use to save you later, because when you think you're running on Empty you really have 1-2 gallons left, which is more than enough to make it to your gas station to fill up again
