heres my project, my friend gave this kit to me after he got lazy... the kit doesn't have directions but i've done enough to understand this simple fujimi. I'm almost done with mods except for the front bumper and sanding.. etc. heres progress!
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_0071.jpg
side view, rear fenders boosted
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_009.jpg
there already was a panel on the hood, i just wanted to stress it.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_010.jpg
the panel on the hood doesn't look curved in this picture, but it curves along the hood and fits quite nicely.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_011.jpg
the exhaust is from a special edition porshe boxster (it fits so nicely on this kit, dont you agree?)

circle-circle-dot-dot, now you've got the cooty shot!over the week, my
FTO got AIDS and an unknown STD from my two male tortoises.... i had to
inject it with primer! Well the circles mean areas to add putty and the
crosses mean areas to sand.... its my system... well, heres my pictures:::
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_0051.jpgYUMMMM, grass
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_0041.jpg
at the start line... vrrrOOOOm, who will win? i put my money on the jumping flea... (do tortoises even have fleas?)
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_0031.jpg
the rear wheels are glued on with styrene tubes (cheap job, but it fits nicely on the car)
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/72718Picture_0011.jpg
where am I?
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/72718Picture_0021.jpg
who am I?
I hope those animal activist don't get me!!!!! ahhhhh!
well tell me wut you think and how stupid you THINK I am ;) for color plans, i plan on gunmetal or light gunmetal..... (help me decide)never used either....

Irridescent or light gunmetal. Something to flow with and show off the body lines. I think the tortoise will win, because the FTO has no motor.

I must ask the purpose of widening the stance of the rear on a FWD car.

...because it looks good.

yeah, i know, the car is FF, widening the stance doesn't make it aerodynamic or anything (guess that shows the rice in me) but i like the look [wink]
BTW, i haven't made the front anodized "bar" yet... should i include rollbars, clear out rear seats, or what? i haven't started interior yet. Thanks your replies folks!

What about giving the front wheels a positive camber of about 20 degrees, and dual anti-sways up front. This would be functional as it should give adaquate oversteer to compensate for the wide tracked rear. just don't forget to throw in some coilovers if you can do them in a way that they are visible. Possibly use solder wraped around the stock struts and then paint it the same andonized color as the support frame. Inside... Some of my most enjoyable mountain rides have been while sitting on the floorpan in the back, holding on to the cage.

aight cool, i'll try to adjust the camber and make sum coilovers, but i'm really lazy... we'll see what happens...

Don't think I was Suggesting you MUST, that not to do what i suggested would mess things up... just suggestions from another perspective. Also don't think that cause it sounds good I completely know what I'm talking about. I'm always learning like the rest of us :)
Hey at least you don't build in a dark basement with 1 light and black walls (like me :) )

I dont really feel like modeling.... the You'll never see the coilovers/ struts.... and 20 degrees of positive camber looks a little excessive dont you all think? I'm not sure the pics will show, they look.... "twisted" kinda aumthin happened while uploading....
