I have a 94 J30 with the left high and low beam out. Also the right high beam is out. Fuses ok, no power to headlight but ground in ok. I replaced the headlight relay and nothing changed. Does anyone have an idea about what is going on?
Thanks,
George

Time for some new bulbs bro. You need some 9006 for lo beam and 9005 for the highs. A replacement shouldn't run more than 7 bucks a pair.

Not the bulbs, and not the fuses

I'm assuming you have a USA model{Canada is different}/if fuses, bulbs and relay have been adressed, you have a problem with the headlight switch or a wiring problem{open circuit}.Most probably the switch.Question? Did you lose all lights at once or at different times.I have wiring diagrams if needed. Good luck

I have a similar problem...
right headlights don't work when the switch is turned on, but they DO blink when the security alarm activates. HELP!!

The security alarm activates the headlamp relay as does the headlamp switch. So you are ok from the relay to the headlamps.Your problem is between the headlamp switch and relay.Get out the wiring diagram.

Tahnks for the help. I don't have a wiring diagram, but decided to add a circuit... I simply wired the right headlights to the left headlights and they work fine now. If only the single 15AMP fuse for the left headlights will continue to carry both!!

I did the same thing, and had to put in a bigger fuse because it kept blowing. Now however I have replaced the relay twice in the last week it keeps shorting, now what?????

I have a problem with my headlights building up a little corrosion on the connections a small wire brush does the trick, I need to do this every six months or my left light will go out every time while I am driving.

Although eveyone is on track with the headlamp relay malfunctioning, everyone seems to ignore the headlamp switch. The headlamp{combination} switch is a very common problem for headlamps not working.Nissan /Infiniti uses what we call a hot switch. Each headlamp is controlled seperatly inside the switch.Wiring one headlamp to another will cause problems.
