Finally I had to sell my Grand Am because of ALL the problems, bought a HONDA CIVIC. With 100,000 Km. and four sets of brakes and 2 sets of rotors, turn signals, keyless entry, heater and air conditioner not working. I was wondering what would go wrong next. Paid over 27,000.00 for got 6500.00 as a trade in. BEWARE.............

Normally, that would piss me off too, but why trade it in?? Sell it privately!
You never get a good deal on trade in!! The dealer must sell and make money on their trade in and always undervalue them (or overcharge you on the new car).
You will always lose money, sometimes thousands on trade in!!
Sure in convenient, but it's not an accurate indication of your Grand Am's true value.
BTW attention to the brakes every 25,000 km is not excessive, especially if you do lots of city driving.

Thank you. That was a valid point, but I did not want to Certify it and take the chance. Unfortunately I cant fix cars, or I would have kept it. (my loss)

I don't agree with your hating the grand am... A good friend has one and it has been amazing (given its only 40,000km). It is comfortable, has good performance all through the powerband. He's also planning to supercharge it, add stabalizer bars, and a nice sound system... he really loves the car and plans to have it long term

Even though Grand Am is not the highest quality car one can buy, I believe that it's stiil more reliable than the majority of other "cheaper/more economic cars". I think it's just that you were out of luck with yours.
