Ive seen it done in shops before where they hang this bottle upside down and have it attached to some line on your car.
Is there anyplace you can pick up your own and do it yourself? is it that difficult?
I dont wanna go pay some guy $60can to do it (or more)
and also, how hard/easy is it to clean the carborator and stuff (taking everything off to get at it)?

Carb? is this the same car? The only way I know for the Fuel Injector cleaner would be to buy the kit that they have at the shops

will they just sell it to you? I was told they wont sell that kind of stuff to someone that is in experienced or not licenced (whatever :banghead: )
I will look for a garage tomorrow that will sell me the kit and maybe show me how to do it.
anyone on here done it themselves? how hard/easy is it to do?

One of my best friends is a mechanic. He did at the shop he works at for $.32.00. I've never done it. It did look pretty easy. You may find a shop that'll sell you the kit. But as far as them showing you how to do it. Good luck. It's worth the money though. I've regained power that I thought my car didn't have anymore. Little things like that are a good investment.

Those kits are pretty spendy. And the cans of cleaner are`nt cheap either. Unless you have several cars with filthy injectors,it`s much more economical to have the mechanic do it. Just do a search for fuel injector cleaners so you can get an idea on the pricing of this equipment.
If you decide to try it yourself, the fuel pump must be disabled so the engine is running off the contents of the pressurized can.

I guess the ones I`ve seen are in the $200-$300 range....Maybe there are some cheaper ones out there by now... You could also make a little $$ on the side cleaning injectors since not many people have the equipment..
