Who cares about Mikey boy. I'm more interested in seeing any of the other 19 drivers in the race win it.
Having said that, his qualifying time was way slower than practice would have led you to suspect. Two possibilities as I see it: he srewed up yesterday or he must be planning one less stop than the Renaults and Jenson.
If the latter, he'll cruise it. If the former he should still mathematicaly cruise it - at least two stops to overtake Alonso and Jenson, statisticaly Trulli will take care of himself.

Panis apparently caused the first start to be aborted and is now out even before the second warmup lap started.

BAR should be heavily fined for that. Not only was he holding everyone up with a clearlydying engine, he also caused the pileup with a big accident.

Nice to see Trulli take his first win, is it a statistic anomaly or a sign of things to come? I suspect the former, Schumacher really should have won that.

Hard to believe I once had respect for Martin Brundle. During the race, just after Schumacher set his fourth or fifth consecutive fastest lap Martin said something like "Schumi doesn't have the car to win the race but he is driving some stunning laps" Huh? Next he credited Nigel Mansell with 5 Monaco wins :dunno: He completely missed Webber slow before saying how well he was going - huh? He is an ex-Monaco 2004 racer Martin :banghead:
Does anybody pay any attention anymore? I could do a better job, except I'd upset the blind worshipers of the Chin. :screwy:

Didnt' see any fluids, and if he had stopped on track he would have prolonged the safety car period, hope you can see the difference. And if you feel that driving around the track with the engine that everybody knows will blow up and probebly big time, and when it did it cause the accident that could easily have been much worse for Fisico then whatever, it just shows that you'd rather find a case to argue than look at the reasonable side. Don't suppose that Sato-caused crash and safety car played largely into the hands of Schumacher while taking out one of the cars from your team out matters ...
And yes, I have a TV, and I (not sure you noticed even though you quoted it) said that I will reserve the judgement until I know all the facts, but it's just common sense that a lapped driver should not be following the leader who is behind the safety car too close not to be able to avoid an accident. I suppose you also blame Montoya for his crash with Verstappen in Brazin 2001? Whatever. BTW, if you feel you need to defend the Moantoya because he'll be driving for Ron next year, it's been rumoured that he's looking to get out of the contract, so don't try too hard just yet.

ales

Also JPM is said to have apologised to Ferrari and is expected to make an appearance before the stewards. But of course what's that in the eyes of the people who, rather than celebrate the success of their team, or, for the lack of such, some other driver/team who did an outstanding job, are rather simply happy because of Ferrari/Schumacher not doing well.

Hell I hate this. Trulli wins his first race and here we are discussing Mikey boy. He screwed up - deal with it. Even if Montoya was at fault no way in hell he'd admit it! Wake up people and smell the tyre smoke! Laugh at DC and Lauda too then. And explain to me why a lapped driver should be following the race leader behind the safety car with 1/2 of the lap to go before the restart so close that he can't avoid the accident?

I'll spell it out: Michael was in front and chose to brake to warm up his brakes, JPM, a lapped driver behind him, didn't adjust to the pace and took the leader out of the race, at least that's what i'm inclined to think based on the facts I have, DC's view, Lauda's view, the fact that JPM apologised to Ferrari.

To be pedantic there was no such driver on the entry list. To be serious the connection is how? Was Schumacher to blame for Jenson Button's accident behind the pace car at Monza in 2000? Pointless Alex and you know it.
