try to explain this problem!!!

i replaced my ignition module on my 2.4 dohc and left the coil cover sitting on the plugs with little pressure to test it. started fine. after i tightened the bolts down to hold the cover down w/ pressure it wouldn't start. i loosened the bolts it started. if i tighten the bolts while its running it stays running but will not start after i shut it off. it it's decently tight as it's running and it shifts gears hard or stops too quick it kills the ignition and i have to restart it; usually take a min or so. what the @#$@ is going on? any help is appriciative.
