I've got a 97 tahoe LT that had an unfortunate run-in with a cow. I need to replace the chrome grille and the front passenger side fender. How hard is it to replace the grille and fender myself and is there a good site to where I could order the body parts at a good discount price?

The front grill is a definite DIY job since I swapped out my chrome one for a painted one (I am not fan of the chrome). If I recall correctly, I just popped the hood and there were 3 bolts that I undid for the top of the the grill. Then I removed the turn signals and there were 2 more bolts behind those. The last bolt was kinda tricky as it was in the center mounted to the horn bracket (I think). After that just press on the lower middle clip and the grill should pop off... just remember to undo the side marker light wiring - no need to take off your headlights.

I got my OEM painted one off of eBay motors for cheap. Just remember one thing though when buying a new grill... ALWAYS try to get an original GM OEM part and not an aftermarket. The first grill I got was a OEM "style" which did not fit too good at all.
