Building one just to kill time...probably won't try anything too crazy on it.
Made C-one style hood scoop, and filled the sunroof closed. The original window cut off then put on as a base to make the solid top with.
Going to have blue window tint, automatic, lhd, ordered some TRD T3 wheels and will put them on. See if I need to lower once I get wheels. Maybe make an exhaust for it too...
Thank you for looking.

Painted tamiya TS30 and then TS13, it will get polished soon. The body took a lot of time for me to get rid of the sunroof. I remade the c-one style hood scoop using plastic boards. Side windows were tinted blue.
I will also put fujimi's TRD sports t3 wheels on it.
Hope you enjoy.

Nice work. Did you used Tamiya clear blue for the window tint?

The roof has came out great, I did mine and found it hard work to get right.
Yes the roof was really hard to make it flush with the rest of the body. Took me countless reapplying and resanding of different regions by each centimeters because I did not have a foam pad of the right size. Looking closely I saw some kind of line that shadows the original shape slightly, but there are no indented lines on the surface. I guess somehow the silver paint made it see through, and I didn't know how to prevent such things.
Nice work. Did you used Tamiya clear blue for the window tint?
The window tint was made with real window tint. Just half a leftover sheet is enough for quite a lot of models.
I'll also give you guys a pic of the drilled head light I was talking about.

The stock muffler was removed to make for a more direct exhaust flow. Estimated power increase of 20hp! lol JK...
But this exhaust took me around 3 hours of bending plastic rods in order to have it go around without touching the suspension. A new "hanger" was also made to fix the muffler and end pipe in place. The rods are so flexible that they straightened themselves back up most of the time, and it looked kind of weird (too curvy) when looking at some angles...but it doesnt matter.

was that a sprayed carbon effect?
Slo_Snipe

The hood is a sprayed carbon effect. I polished it today. Althought some patterns were accidently polished away, I still think it overall looked okay.

A mock up of the intercooler. This would be a turbo-ed celica if it was real. Maximum output are predicted to be further increased to 250hp!...(only imaginary figures :)
The roof is also polished today. After all those hard work of getting rid of the sunroof it seems to pay off from looking at how smooth it is ^^ turtle wax was used in addition to tamiya compound.
The exhaust was painted testors chrome. When it dries I will spray some heat effects on too.

Higher resolution pic of the whole car shows the CF pattern a little more clearly, but its still far from the real thing. It doesnt look like there is any pattern to it in pics. It needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate it.
Next time I will take some pics of interior.

Updates!
Intercooler is finished painting. It was sprayed with testors chrome but I changed to testor silver afterwards. I like it being a little duller. It was then decaled and darkwashed.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/74366Picture_052.jpg
A pic of how it would be shown when put into the car:
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/74366Picture_051.jpg
The interior was done mostly with airbrush mixed grey to replicate the real color. Seats were sprayed XF56 and XF8 (flat blue) to replicate the mesh texture on the real car. I also made a computer that somewhat resembles a Apexi SAFC2 (right beside the gear stick) . I hope it doesn't look too inaccurate.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/74366Picture_056.jpg
These wheels are TRD sports T3. It came with chrome so I stripped it and sprayed titanium gold, then top with smoke. I think this color looks better on a silver car than chrome, otherwise they wouldn't stand out as much.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/74366Picture_057.jpg
Exhaust detailed with heat effects and then coated with smoke.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/74366Picture_059.jpg
The body was polished after spending around an hour on each body panel. The orange peel was horrible. Either Tamiya silver leaf is hard to spray or I need to practice spray painting. Everything except the mirrors and side skirts were polished with tamiya compound afterwards and then turtle wax.
Front suspension was lowered 0.75mm. They also needed to be cut to decrease the treadwidth or else the wheels wouldve popped out, looking something like a lowrider. I didn't lower the back yet. Im still deciding whether I should work on the ride height of the rear or not because of its complex design and if the height right now is really that bad. I did a mock up of how the wheels will sit below the car. Any of you thinks if this is a good height, or I should make it lower, feel free to comment.
