brake disc questions

i was just wondering how it would help if a disc/rotor is vented, slotted, or drilled or all of them. thanks

Wented rotors gives better cooling of the disc. But within the same size it contains less iron which means it cant absorb as much heat. A solid disc is more stable and may be able to withstand a longer single braking distance without overheating.
Slotted rotors keeps the pads cleaner. Drilled rotors are not very good as they are prone to crackings.
They are mostley used for looks...
