ok, i have a vr4, and want to put a blow off valve in. but is it true that for the 2 extra horse power they give, taht you dont really feel, they will reduce your engine life by 50%. I dont race my car, so i dont know if one is nessacary, but i have read that they are in a turbo car to prolong the life of the turbos??

Getting a diff BOV will not give you any extra horses unless your current one is leaking. If it's a bad enough leak, then yeah, you'll feel it. It won't reduce engine life at all, you've already got one on there, so why would it do any damage? They are there to release the excess built up pressure that's in the turbos during a shift. Hope that helps.

The new BOV will help save your turbos... Just make sure you don't get compressor surge or you'd be doing the exact opposite. ;)
