first of all ur back wheel looks like its turning, your body kit is missing some components if you were going for accuracy, your wheels need to be rounded (i used to do that somethimes) and try not to draw on lined paper. that tells me you werent trying that much, it just like drwaing for fun I think. and also if you look inside the interior the whole thing is open. the interior mirror is hanging of nothing. and one the front wheel u cant tell where the tire is going and where the wheel well is starting. its a good drawing since it ur first(realistic)!

i agree /\ loose the lines on the paper and i don't know if that is a very good ref. picture. i would have picked something at a more agressive angle and more reflections.
good job though

i have a solution to your problem, dont rush
if you did it at school, then you rushed, people spend 20 hours on some drawings before it looks good
just draw it like it is, if its off, then post it here and ppl will help or try to fix it yourself
dont rush, looks good for your first 3d though...
i agree about getting a new picture
so yah, dont rush

try the grid method, theres a faq by GTmike in the faqs section...
that should fix your proportions
and for shading, check out aseanz shading faq also in the faqs section
those should help you a lot

Hey, that's pretty cool for a first try.
Don't rush, and make sure you get proportions perfect!
Oh yeah, and choose better pictures!

you draw well. you need more skill and experience. do not quit. you are on the verge of "getting it." study mechanical drawing. get a book on perspective and elipses/how to construct elipses in 2 or 3 point perspective.
remember that a car is a machine. you, too, must conform to the logic of a machine, whilst possessing human intuition. you have that human trait already. i see it in the lines. now refine them, and think in terms of geometry.

also, you have impeccable taste: the GTR is the best d@mn car on the earth! try doing an R33 and R32. my fave is the R32, but i'd love to have one of each!

while the gtr is the best car in the world it is also the most non-original car to draw . not to be bringing you down (i did a gtr also when i was first starting out) but once you start looking for other cars to draw it kinda gets old just drawing skylines and lambos and what not.
Keep with it. if you don't think that drawing is for you atleast draw on the side a little. a lot of people can't even get started on a car drawing (like my girlfried  ).

i'm not offended. no worries. you have a good point. the skyline is exposed to death.
it is my favorite car. hands down. so try to draw it in an interesting setting doing something. play with lighting f/x and motion.

Nice start MR2_Lancer,
Nice choice. I agree with most of what was posted. Blank paper, take your time, etc. I would also suggest some old school funk. (Con Funk Shun, Ohio Players, maybe some old-old Cameo), and just time.
I drew my first Skyline a few weeks ago on this board. I spend most of my time in the VW world so I know very little about tuners in general. I like yours though.
