Break Problems

Need some help here.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about cars. I have a 2000 Grand Prix and whenever I use the breaks (gently or slamming) I hear this horrid clanking sound...which sounds like its coming from underneath the car. Clank-clank-clank whenever I apply the breaks. The car only has 42k miles on it.

Any idea what this could be? Worn break pads perhaps? Or could it be something else?

Yes worn Brake Pads....I would replace them
