hey there people...

just found a picture and wondering where these lights came from.
it me, the car looks like a 5th gen accord.
my guess is from the mirrors and windows.
however, i could be wrong.

what headlights are these?!?!?

Those lights look like the JDM Sylvia lights, but I could be wrong.

Those look like the Silvia S14 head lights to me.
I know for sure those aren't the S15, and they don't really look like the S13's, but I could be wrong.

i don't think it's a siliva...if i recall, they are more rounded towards the ends.
it looks like a 240sx lights...simular to the picture with the black car.
however, i'm not sure...which is why i'm asking :)

the lights in the first pic are s14 headlights, those are s15 lights on the eclipse.

yes, you are correct, but those are S15's.
The debate is as to whether they are 240sx or S14 lights.

they are off a 97-98 240sx and they are not jdm...jdm headlights have a better looking projector and housing

i am actually putting on those headlights onto my 4th gen accord in a month cuz i love those headlights

Its a civic... look at the moldings. The moldings on the accords look different.

That car is an Accord or Civic with a S15 front end. He had the car widen 6" and the front lengthened about 9".

It was in Banzai Magazine found at Barnes and Nobles bookstores.

The magazine I saw that Red WHite honda in was Banzai mag from Overseas..that ride wasn;t to bad but there were no guages on his cluster...

I am 100% sure those aren't the S15 headlights though.

The headlights are from a 200 SX I have the mag in front of me I'm not goin off memory so it's not S15 headlights....

The side skirts came from an Audi A4.

Also the rims on that are 18" MSL's wrapped in Falken..... :frog:

On the front license plate it says WA which stands for Western Australia. :)

I have no clue as to why there wasn;t any guages in that ride...the needles and all are there but no faces..

As for the figures that were being posted up if I remember right, as I don't have the article in from of me right now, they talked about extending or adding in some areas and they ramble off 9mm and 6mm so it's not feet just millimeters..:frog: :frog:

SAME STORY... DIFFERENT ENDINGS

Collaborating with Nissan, Lexus and a fish, the owner of this white-hot Civic has created a devilish story with two different endings.


When Christian Prokscha turns up on the Aussie show circuit in his '97 Civic, many people congratulate him on his neat Lexus; others remark it's a hot-looking Nissan. Chris says he almost wet himself when these comments were made, because it proved that adding different front and rear lights to a Civic throws people off track. As such, this is one of the first show cars to confirm conversions like this have a stunning effect.

After buying the Civic, Chris knew within days he couldn't live with the Honda's standard looks. After investigating various body kits, Chris decided off-the-shelf kits were "too boring". Therefore, Chris soon found himself talking to Bruce at Fibre Vision.



"Bruce told me if I designed the kit then he would make it," explained Chris. "As it turned out, Bruce helped with my design and it was the front bumper which was made first." Several revisions were tried, as the angles of the side vents gradually became more aggressive and the central vent deepened towards the radiator in order to prevent excessive air flow under the car. The side skirts actually began life as Audi A4 items. These were lengthened and widened to match the profile and width of the front bumper's bottom lip.

The rear bumper is from a '92 Civic but had to be modified to fit Chris's later model. Side vents were grafted in, as was a narrower 2000MY Impreza WRX number plate recess. Naturally, this meant the original boot-mounted recess was redundant, so glass fibre panels were flowed into the boot's skin to flush it smooth.

Right from the outset, Chris wanted some form of bonnet vent or scoop. Originally, a single scoop was fabricated from polished aluminium and frenched into the bonnet to feed cold air to the filter. However, with a cold air induction kit fitted, the single scoop served no real purpose, so another was added for balance. To further the Civic's deceptive appearance, the car was completely de-badged. This also saw the side repeaters removed and the aerial deleted from the rear quarter.

"I'd shown the car with Bruce's first-generation body kit at the Perth Western Salon in late '99," explained Chris. "But we knew that with the Cabin Promotions show coming to Perth in 2000, something radical was needed if the eastern states were going to take any notice of us west coasters!" And this meant front and rear light conversions.



Chris compiled a short-list of possible donors before settling on 200SX headlights. Actually installing them was a tricky procedure, though, requiring the radiator support, front quarter panels and other minor parts to be modified. Careful consideration was given to structural integrity so extra supports were also welded in. Fitting these lights meant parts of the bonnet had to be extended 300mm, the front arches flared by 50mm and the quarter panels lengthened by 125mm ? all part of the evolutionary process. Installing the IS200 rear lights was relatively easy, but crafting the metal of the rear quarter and bootlid around the lights required real skill, oxy welding and epoxy filler. The overall exterior package has been topped off with white Type-R paintwork. A decent coat of paint was never going to satisfy Chris, though, so off he went to see Jamal at Current Trendz for some vinyl graphics.

While a few different themes have been tried, the devil's tail motif has always been a favourite. Jamal also applied cool red window tinting with silver detailing which matches the graphics perfectly. The car's street cred has been finalised with white 18" MSL alloys wrapped in Falken tyres. Behind the rims lurk standard dics, albeit with painted calipers fitted with Endless pads, while Lovells lowering springs and Koni shocks comprise the suspension. "The shocks and springs have all been heavily modified," added Chris, "and we can drop the car a full 150mm for shows."

With such a mad exterior, Chris knew he also needed something wild inside, so went for a combination of vinyl and glass fibre. "I'm constantly having to convince people my doors are covered in vinyl, not painted," explained Chris. "Even the dash was removed and covered in vinyl."



The glass fibre parts include two separate roof sections, air vents, rear floor panels and custom Fibre Vision bucket seats. The rear bench was trimmed to match and even given the obligatory devil's tail. And then there's the list of bolt-ons, which includes a variety of Autometer gauges, alloy pedals, red seat belts and a Simoni Racing steering wheel. Red is dominant in the cabin, even extending to the subtle use of red lights in the dials.

This brings us nicely to a modification which is simple yet very effective. Look closely and you'll see Chris has removed his dial surrounds. By exposing the guts of his instruments and adding a red bulb, a Terminator style has been created. Simple, effective and trend-setting.

Serious show cars are always on the lookout for sponsorship, and just before the 2001 Cabin show, Chris managed to bring Sony on board. The sound system is relatively straightforward, begining with a CD/tuner head unit. This feeds a pair of two-channel amps mounted either side of the car's rear footwell. One of the amps is dedicated to music for the cabin, feeding components in the doors and 6x9s on the rear shelf, while the remaining amp has its two channels bridged to run a 12" sub.

The (waterproof) sub is also part of a stunning boot display that is a bit on the fishy side. Not only does this Civic have a pond, complete with a waterfall, but for shows Hugo gets added. Hugo is an albino Mexican walking fish.

"Some people say he looks like a penis but they must be deformed!" quipped Chris. Nigel from Morris Magic Mouldings crafted and painted the miniature lagoon, after the boot had been sealed to prevent any leaks.

One criticism of show cars like this is that they don't get driven, yet Chris does indeed drive his car around, minus the peniS er, fish. As such, daily driveability is of more importance to Chris than screaming performance, although he has contemplated turbo or nitrous conversions. "All these options have dramas associated with them and there's the cost too," explained Chris. "As it stands, I can drive my car around and it's not sitting in some garage for a year waiting on pistons or other parts that can't be sourced."



Nonetheless, Cypher Industries in Perth has added some extra appeal to the Civic's 1.6 litre engine by polishing the rocker cover, intake manifold and exhaust manifold heat shield. There's also a couple of Cypher's alloy products in the engine bay, including a Dynamic Iceman Chamber system which creates an extra reservoir of air between the filter and the throttle body. This is said to improve engine response as sudden throttle increases require extra amounts of air. So while the AirXtreme filter, mounted behind the front bumper, does its thing, this chamber can release a boosted level of air flow to keep the engine fully supplied.

Having come this far with his Civic, Chris is now thinking of moving on. What the next project will be is undecided as yet, but it's obvious there are a bunch of western Aussies just bustin' to show the east coast how it should be done. And that's fine by us!

so

I know the thread was posted a long long while ago... but i came across this today while searching for my name in google.

I didnt know you guys in America get all the magazines etc.

To clear things up, i did the car myself with a few friends.

All mods are in metal except the body kit ;)

The lights are from a Aussie Nissan 200sx S14. Now u guys over in the states i believe call it a 240sx, well we here are lucky as we have the 200sx with a turbo, so the JDM model.

The tailights were from a IS200.

Shame i didnt see this thread in 2002, i would have loved to chat with you guys.
