First completed project of 2004  For the info and trauma of the build check the "Return of the Zombie Cossie" (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=211834) progress thread. The model still bears some scars, like I only noticed in these pics that the right rear wheel is a bit off...

I like it a whole lot!

Great job on saving it too, and with all the added details (especially like the weathering of the chassis) it's yet again, a stunner.

That sunset makes me feel the pictures were taken at the trophy giving ceremony on the night after the rally :smokin:

Thanks guys, not sure what is meant by sunset pics - these were taken at about one o’clock in the afternoon! I just ordered a new digital camera, since my old one is on the fritz. Should have it by next weekend so I will be taking more snaps and updating my website then. Don’t forget to head over to the BMOM Rallycar Comp (http://www.hrmodeler.com/bmom) and check out the other rally models there.

Any suggestions on what I should build next? Closest to finished is the Crocodile Audi R8, also in progress is Lancia Stratos, McLaren M8B, SEAT Cordoba, Mitsubishi Evo IV and VI. On the other hand I like the idea of a Porsche 917K (probably blue Salzburg CANAM), Ford GT40 (in some colourful livery) and 2002 San Remo Marko Martin Focus (using Seb’s decals and Ray’s headlights). A 1/20th F1 would be good too, like a Lotus 107C (with Mugen V10 transplant) or Williams FW24 (backdated to Compaq livery and aero). Then there is the Peugeot 206 project, still need to build 2002 and 2003 works cars along with a rainbow of six different privateer liveries.

Phil,

the too last pics look really like they've been taken at the sunset. The reflects on the windows looks like the light is coming from low and it has a slighly reddish tone.

From you project pile I'd like to see the Stratos and Seat finished, but if the Audi is in final stages then why not finish it first. I recall one of the Mitsus had open doors and bonnet? That should be an interesting project to watch too.

Thanks guys.
I see what you mean Mikko, there is a bit of a reddish tinge there. Could be something to try in the future, the light at sunset can really bring out the colours.
The Astra is another possibility Seb, at the moment the real car is on the wallpaper of my computer, I think about it whenever I boot up!

Well done Phil. I really felt for you after the 'incident' as I too know the perils of young children. I can't believe the result - if we didn't know it was damaged you would never pick it. I've just discovered my favourite entry at BMOM.

Excuse me. Just bumping this thread as a not-so-sublte advertisement that I've just updated my website. Have no fear, at the rate I build and compose HTML it will not be a common occurance :p For anybody interested, added is a new gallery page with heaps of new pics of Tommi's Escort. Click on the picture of Kimi Raikkonen in my sig to go there.

Nice work on the cossie, but i think there is something wrong with the tail lights. The turn signal is not closest to the trunk. The turn signal is the outer one.
