I recently purchased a spare keyless remote for my 2001 Dodge Intrepid. While attempting to program it using my owner's manual, it was not clear, and somehow I ended up rendering the working keyless remote useless. Can anybody help me? Is there a way to program them both again? I hope I'm not screwed into paying for the both of them to be reprogrammed. Is there a link out there on how to do this?

**You MUST reprogram all the remotes at the same time.
**You MUST have one remote that already works in order to program additional remotes.
The first step is actually to resync the remote to the car after something has caused it to quit or the batteries have been replaced. Even though it says to discontinue programming if it's working after that, you still need to continue all the steps in order to add the other remote to the car. If the resync process doesn't work out, you will have to take it to the dealer for programming, or find a locksmith that has the factory programming tool (Call around). Let me know how it turns out.
1. Press lock button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize transmitter, if working as designed discontinue programming.
2. Turn ignition to the run position. (Allow ignition chimes to stop).
3. Using any original (working) transmitter, press the [unlock] button for 4 to 10 sedonds.
4. Within the 4 to 10 seconds, continue pressing the [unlock] button and press the [panic] button for 1 second and release both buttons. A chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered. Allow 3 seconds for chime to sound.
5. Press [lock] and [unlock] button similtaneously for 1 second and release.
6. Press and release any button on the same transmitter and a chime will sound after successfully programming the transmitter.
7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 to program additional transmitters.
8. Turn ignition to "Off" position. Transmitter programming mode will discontinue after 60 seconds.
