Hi, nice forum you have here
Searched the forum and tryed some tips, no luck
I have a 1991 4X4 explorer, when hot and at stop ligth or running the engine idles erradicaly and stall, afther 20 min or an hour starts back up.
Allready tried changing the fuel preassure regulator, fuel pump (3 times), ignition coil pack, crankshaft position sensor (ckp), spark plugs and wires, and no luck :banghead: .
It is the wife truck and now that is failing I have to drive it untill it works, (sure miss my bike)

Thanks for any help
Kind regards

Instead of throwing parts at it, try getting it scanned for codes.

I had the same problem with my 95 Explorer, and it turned out to be the IAC (idle air control) valve. Luckily, someone on this site had the same problem and posted directions and pictures on how to fix it. Only two bolts and unplug the wiring and replace with the new one. Completely fixed the problem. Here's the link, good luck!!
ps. only cost about $100 for the IAC

Thanks, I'll try this tips today.
More info: Scanner trows no codes, but the second time I changed the fuel pump the scaner showed a 506 and 507 which is IAC related but it allso showed a short in the secondary coil of the fuel pump, thats why I changed the fuel pump but forgot about the IAC, I'll go scan again to see what it shows.
