exhaust, is louder better?

hey, this is my first post, but i've tried to see if anyone has asked this question yet. couldn't find one, so i'll go ahead and ask.

i have a 94 z28 with just bolt on upgrades, and exhaust is next on the list. i do not want a super loud exhaust, i like the sound of the stock ss. but i also want max airflow. can anyone suggest a throaty exhaust, that won't set off car alarms in the parking lot. thanks for the help

eh, i like my american thunder exhaust from flowmaster, but i like the top fuel dragster sound. pretty much every aftermarket catback flows the same, the magnaflow sounds good, borla sounds good, flowmaster sounds good. my suggestion, find sound files online and listen to the different systems, and make your own desicion.

why wouldnt you want to set off alarms? thats the best part.

the same reason i keep my body pretty much stock. i like my bite to be worse than my bark

if your going to do a sleeper it should be an ultra sleeper, i saw a guy at autozone once that have a Gremlin with a crasy ass 350 chevy in it.

Well The nose is awsome with flowmaster but still quite. I was thinking of tacking my blue streak glass packs of and going to flowmaster to quite my 350 down belive it or not. Now I have come a custom to the kick ass loud sound of my car I would never even think about it again. I't not load enough to set off car alarms that i have noticed LOL
But it depends on what kinda engine u have and like they said to u want u bite to be louder than ur bark LOL :lol2:

i dont like flowmaster even though i put 1 on my TA, but u can get the delta series flow master whuch lowers interior noise n cuts down exterior sound a little bit..its a v8 and if u help it flow better its gonna get louder
