wipers

so how does one go about getting the wiper arms off of a fourth gen? my book had an unfortunate accident with a quart of oil, and i dont feel like buying another one yet...

dont you just unscrew them out, or when you like pull it them it turns out and then you unscrew it out?

It's pretty standard as far as i know... i dont remember exactly but i believe you gotta push in a couple tabs and it slides right out

do you have to take the plastic off first or something cause i dont remember seeing tabs. i didnt look too closely though, ill check it out again tonight...

well the wiper BLADE is really easy to get off, flip the lever in the center and it slides right off the hook shaped part of the arm. to remove the wiper arm, you have to pop off the litle black cover over the nut, and use a 13mm socket to remove the nut, then use a screwdriver to CAREFULLY pru up on the end of the wiper arm, and they should just pop off.
