Will it be worth getting the group C rereleases just for the cartograph decals? (All that time and money spent hunting down the original 787B...)

No, I don't think so. Most of those kits had good quality decals. The 787 had very nice glossy decals.

It says the ARII Mercedes-Benz C111 and Porsche 924 are reissues. Are they 1/24 or 1/32? Are those kits worth any cash?
I wonder if Fujimi will pull off a better new Mini then Revell (3 years later...)

The 2 arii kits are reissues of old LS 1/24 kits. Just bad toys, but the only ones.... :( :(

Is the group 5 Zakspeed capri a new car? HLJ are acting like it is but it looks like a new set of decals to me. Anyone know?

I know it's been said before, but I wish Tamiya would put out some NEW models. The Porche is a good start, the R34's are awsome and I don't mind the reissues...but some new cars would be better...Rally cars, JGTC cars, and street cars. Heck, if Fujimi would include better wheels in their kits, Tamiya would be sunk (well, as far as cars would go).

Fujimi's Mini looks great so far, nice too see them put the base wheels on the car (they look better then the more expensive ones) I'm guessing it'll be RHD only, so looks like I'm gonna hafta get a Revell Mini when the kit comes out to make the conversion

I think that is my number one harumph about Japanese kit manufacturers. Any other issue can be dealt with, but any car that is sold in LHD markets (even if not under the same trim level, ie WRX STi) should include a LHD dash. Dashboards are the most difficult part to convert, and with all the computer machined tooling, wouldn't be much harder for the manufacturers. American SATCO used to include cast resin LHD dashes in their Aoshima kits, but I beleive they have stopped importing the kits, so we're out of luck there.

I didn't have a million bucks, but I did have a plane ticket, except that someone else took my seat because of the heavy rain from a day before. Damn damn damn.

I would get rid of the old ones, and get the new ones for the sake of caltogrf. Tamiya deals aren't as opawue as Caltograf, and the dashed lines of the Mazda aren't very white when applied to the fluo orange body color.

The 924 kit isn't too bad, but needs some work, just like the Monogram counterpart. The C111 kit requires major scrathbuilding to look good as a static display model. In a sense, it's a challenging kit.

I bought two 787B a while ago. :screwy: Let's see if I can get rid of them. :uhoh:
