95 Aurora has 12.8 volts power will not even try to turn over. Cleaned key, checked teminals, wiggled gear shift, waited and retried. Any Ideas or suggestions are more than welcomed, Dougg

funny b/c i have the exact same prob right now.....my car had been saying clean key wait 3 minutes for about a couple weeks but it eventually stoped and the security light would come on while i was driving instead...i went out to the car the other day and it didnt turn over...i think its the ignition switch/key..whatever its called...if yours never did that i would assume it was the starter.....

just my 2 cents..

i dont even plan on getting mines fixed...i just spent 700 bucks on plugs wires..coil packs and some other nosense the dealer said i needed....and 2 days latter this SH@t HAPPENS...aaaaahhhhhhhhh

lol....i'm in the process of looking for a car with a warrenty now.....

i love the car but its been nothing but trouble lately....and i didnt even mention that my ses light had been coming on every few days...who knows what that was.......

If you have a second key, try it. Had the same experience with my '98 - try to turn it over, nada. After pulling and reinserting the key several times, and holding it in the start position for 3-4 seconds, it fired up. Once I swapped keys, the problem went away. Reminds me, I still need to zip over to the Buick dealer and get a replacement key...

I had the same thing with my 95 the other week. I think it was related to going through a state park with 5 or 6 of those reverse bridges. One day later, no start, no noise, nothing.

I (in addition to all the key related stuff mentioned) also tried to check and clean every ignition related fuse and relay I could lay my hands on. There was 1 in the drivers side panel and a relay under the back seat at the very least. I actually pulled many more than that just in case- if I didn't know it got checked...

It started fine about 3 tries after all that (and ever since, knock on wood).

i knew it was the ignition in my car so i used some of the air in a bottle that i use to clean out my computer and it started right up.......just sprayed it really good in the ignition slot
