Hey all, today i bought a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I want to turn it into a show and go. I was wondering what my first upgrade should be. I was thinking exhuast, CAI, and maybe some headers. Could anyone tell their opinion on what parts i should buy that are both cheap and good. Thanks alot for your help. I was also thinking about some new wheels.

I'd go with suspension... there are some apex ws dampers on eBay for 600, which is a pretty good price. Get some SSR competition wheels, and you're car is all set to go... a great start!

yeah a GS-T or GSX...oh wait too late. Apex exhaust is good, i dunno just not a lot to do to a n/t car, i would make it look nice if keyword "if" i ever got a gs. Are you thinking of putting a turbo on it later?

check out htp://www.2gnt.com
look into OBX headers and exhaust. also a CAI is gunna be on that list too. you can get a cheap one off ebay for under 50 bucks. start digging around and utilize the SEARCH button very often. look in the 'read this before you post' sticky thread at the top of the threads list. TONS of great info in there.
have fun and welcome to the Eclipse world ;)

before evrybody tells you to dump that car and save for a gsx i just want to congratulate you on that eclipse i soon hope to get one myself, how much you pay for it, also you probably wont get any real power until you add a turbo so prepping your engine for a turbo would be best if you want that car to go.
