Detonation

I run my sr20 on 98 octane fuel and have timing set at 19 degrees with no problems yet.
Has anyone run cars with this timing. Does anyone think it will cause detonation:confused:

98 should be plenty enough :D

Do you know of anyone running 19 degrees advance?:confused:

I used to run 19 BTDC before I put in my S3 cams. I ran a 92 gas and had no problems. Keep in mind that North American octane is an average of 'research' and 'motor' or something like that. New Zealand uses just one or the other.

Cool I shouldn't have many problems then.

Well not quite random. I read something about Ultima ratio regum in the last book I read and though it was pretty cool. While I was researching it I ran across the 'bastards' one and thought it was really cool!

BTW: "castigat ridendo mores" = torment stupidity through laughter.
