hey i know this has been probably talked about many times already...
but its about making your own custom grill with mesh from home depot etc. for a 98 civic si (cdn)
I want to know what kind of mesh to get ( circle , diamond shaped) and was wondering if I could paint it gun metal ( dark grey) color. Also if anyone body has pics that would be great.....to see what it looked like when you did it your self....any advice on installing would be great too..thanks.....
i like to throw on my mesh afterwards an SI badge.....if there is any good place to get one..and paint it red

What I used when I did the same to my lower grill opening on the bumper, was get a sheet of metal cement lathe that's used inside drywall and other cement projects. I got it from Home Depot. It's diamond shapped, and made from galvonized steel, so it's prett weather proof for the most part. You can paint it up anyway you like though, and it'll hold just fine.
