Distributor Problems HELP !!

Well, im not too sure if my distributor needs to be replaced but how do I know?...When my engine is on and i open the hood, theres a noise coming from the distributor, like as if something is loose inside and it's bouncing around. How will I know if I have to replace the cap, rotor, or the whole distributor. I have a ZC SOHC engine and im guessing the best distributor to get is the one for it, but when changed, will there have to be any wiring envolved? Please Help !!

no.just plug in and make sure you mark where the rotor is pointing at before you install the new one.cuz you will f*** up the timing.its not hard at all.good luck.

sorry.forgot to answer the other Q's.take off the dist cap and see if the rotor got loose,and if not than my best bet is change it out.the dist i mean.

Well...my car is still running/no problem starting and it hasn't stalled or anything while driving but if there is something wrong with it(distributor), would it be safe for me to drive it still, like will my car suddenly just die if im on the highway ?

its all up to you.i got stuck not on the highway and i didnt even know it was goin out.i heard some noises but didnt know what was up.it can go out on you.if it keeps making noise than i would re-place,its kinda alot tho.
