legal or not?

is it legal to sell my car to a guy without providing the smog check papers and stuff but he said he will smog it himself??

he said he'll sign a contract saying that he won't sue me or shizzle like that

but can i even do that?

Just have him pay you the money to smog it, go smog it, and then sell it, that way you're covered ^^.

See if there is an official release form from the DMV or something =\

i dont know about where you live but in california the new owner has to get the car smogged within 90 days of purchase, so he would have to do it himself anyways
