several question.....

I have several questions that i think havent been answered strait.

1- The sr20det. Now, I hear from one website, it can do about 350hp, reliable. Then another site 500hp, reliable (Im talking about no internal engine modifications.) Someone who actually knows (if your getting 400hp reliable) please clear this up.

2- About the smog/emmisions tests, for either the rb25det or sr20 you would fail even if you pass smog becuase of visualize test, right? Any engine in a different car is illegal? I know we talked about this already, but there were a lot of posts that were incorrect, and then some, it was confusing. Anyone who understands this well, please clear that up.

3- Ive looked around and im not finding to much on how to get away with this shit. Skyline engines i heard will become legal or w/e (i think they have to be, there everywhere in cali, but they dont pass smog? whatever. Again, this stuff wasnt clear). Even so, I might change my mind and get a sr20. I heard about that one guy that had a rb25 swap done, living in chicago, where i live. Is he on this forum, can anyone help me out with this stuff?

Move to GA, no visual test, if it is a diff engine, they run the car as to what engine is in there, for SR, we call it another I-4, RBs' we say we swapped a Supra block, works most of the time.

well about the visual test you just let the insurance company know that the engine in the car is different and they change it for you. and for the emissions test just go to florida no restrictions. :)
