I need help!!!! I purchased a 2004 T&C in November of last year (2003). I washed it several times before Christmas but after Christmas I did not wash it for about a month and a half. When I did, I could not get the wheels clean. (Bad Brake Dust :banghead: ) I tried several things and had no luck. Also as I tried to get them clean I noticed that they were not aluminum wheels but had some type of wheel cover on the wheel. I have tried just about everything to get them clean. (This is the platnium edition) I think it looks bad on Chrysler because I own over a $30000 dollar van with :2cents: wheel caps. Has anybody else experianced this.

I also have the 2004 Platinum Ed. Touring model. This model came with an exclusive polished Aluminum wheel (9 spoke) which are very hard to keep clean. I bought a RUBBERMAID nylon bristle brush I use to get in between the spokes. The bristles are about 3" long and fit in quite well.
Now, if you really have caps on the wheels, and not the 16" Aluminum
wheels, head right back to the dealer and complain, because you got
ripped.
(There is a center cap on the Aluminum wheels, ~5" diameter, that
hide the lug nuts, is this the cap you refer to.?)

Have a 2004 T & C LX and it has the plastic caps also . Yes they do seem to get brake dust on them pretty fast and you do have to keep at them to keep them clean , so far standard washing is getting the dust off , they do have cleaners at the parts store for specifically cleaning wheels and I believe they have ones for getting brake dust off .

I would try, wesleys bleech white to get them clean, or Simple Green, i use simple green because it is strong, but not harsh on the metal. i also use simple green on my engine because it is biodegradable, and doesnt harm the belts or hoses.
