In 1982 Toyota made the Celica GT with 2 differnet body styles. 1 without the wheel flares (Celica)and the other with the wheel flares (Celica w/ Supra Package {which I own}). I do believe it was in 85 or 86 the one car became 2 different cars. Now, most of the parts on the 85 will fit on an 82, like the rear hatch w/ upper spoiler & rear wiper. Other parts will fit to, you just have to make sure what the part you want and insure that it will match bolt for bolt.
If you have any other questions. I should be able to help.

Supra was a model of Celica, then it became its own car. They're more like a schizo-alter ego car couple.... The MR2 is the little brother...

The supra was an anneversary edition of the celica, the celica definitly came first.... the supra became it's own car in the mid 90's but the body styles are similar, i saw a supra i could of swore it was a 95 celica...

the celicasupra was an early 80's celica with the inline 6, they shared the same bodystyle until 86, when celica changed, and went wrong, becoming fwd. The supra kept that body style in early 86, then 1/2 through 86, the supra came out in a new body style, which ran until 93

First came the celica, and then came the celica supra, which in 86.5 adopted its own name of Supra. 85 was the last year or the RWD celicas, but the RWD kept going in the supras. 82-83 had the same body styles as 84-85 celicas minues 82-83 having pop out not pop-up headlights and a different front air dam, they both SAID GT, but the body with the fender flares was in fact a GTS. all GT's had Solid Rear Axle, GTS's had Independant Rear Suspension, which moved over to being on all forms and years of celica supras. basically from the firewall back a celica GTS and CelicaSupra are exactly the same minus the dash on a celicasupra being stitched and the supras coming with LSD. in 1985 the Celica GTS got the larger rear end that was the size of a celicasupra rear end, but not LSD like the celicasupras, although in 1985 they were a direct swap. Mind you the celicasupra i speak of is a P-Type in correlation with the Celica GTS, they had the same wheels as well, the L-Type celica supra had different wheels than the P-Type and Celica GTS. The celicasupra has an Inline 6 cylinder 5mge (m series Fuel Injection), in Japan they came with the 6mge, a 3.0L version of the 5mge, basicall a 7mgte bottom end with a 5mge head. the Celicas all came with the 22R series motor, evolving to 22RE in 1983 i believe. the difference being 22R was Carbbed and 22RE was fuel injected. hope this clears some things up guys.
