water leak?

I have a 99 Z-71 and recently had a water leak that I think was finally repaired. Anyway when I was water testing it I noticed a few drips coming out from just under the bottom of the door trim. Investigating further I found some water had gotten in by the plastic water deflector. Is this normal? Any suggestions of info is greatly appreciated.
