Need some advice on what engine to turbo for 93 Prelude

I have a 93 Prelude Si, the stock motor is dead, so I need a new one, really not sure if I want to keep the car naturally aspirated, or maybe go with a turbo, if I keep it natural than the obvious engine to get would be the h22a, but if I was to turbo wich would be the better engine, going w/ another h23a or the h22a ? i dont kno alot wich is why I am here asking, I have heard that the h23 is the better engine to turbo, is that because maybe it has a better cr ? i really dont kno, if anyone could get me those specs that would be great, also the 2.3 is 165hp I believe while the h22a is 200, but when turboing would that hp difference matter ? if you turbo the vtech wouldnt that make the vtech engagement obsolete ? therefore losing hp ? if someone could clear up this for me it would be appreciated, i just am guessing at all of this, thanks. by the way, I am reffering to the h22 jdm vtech engine, not the usdm one, I believe the US version is 94-96 and has a 10:1 cr while the JDM is the 92-96 and has a 10.6:1 cr.

what are your goals? if you want to boost on stock internals....... best choice would be LS (b18b), or you could get a gsr..... but it will cost more. You can run about 12ibs on the LS while you can only run about 7-8 on the GSR. (stock internals). If you are planning to build the motor later.. then i would go with the GSR.

Remember tho, this is a Prelude we are talking about, my goals are to beef up the internals enough to eventually push around 20psi, but untill then run 6-8 psi on stock internals, but you would go w/ a b18 in a prelude ? you would have to have boost just to make up for the loss of displacment, im not really worried about what has the best cr stock, I am going to beef the engine up, so if you can run 12psi stock to b18b, but beef up a h23a to run 12psi that would destroy the b18, then im gonna wanna go w/ the h23a (more potential). But your advice is greatly appreciated, if you dissagree w/ any of my comments feel free to voice your opinion again as like I said before I dont kno a whole lot, just guessing here. But I dont plan on having a ghetto turbo running at minimal boost, if that helps at all as far as my goals go.

I'd go with the h23a just because you want to run low boost before building up. You could always swap a h22a head on it later if you wanted to when it's all built, give it some more power. Just my opinion.
