fuel problems, any tips?

i've got a 1948 oldsmobile with a chevy 350 engine and a 4 barrel edelbrock carb. i'm having problems with my fuel line. when the car is idling, it is fine, but when you accelerate after 5 minutes, the car dies and is starved for fuel. i pulled and drained the tank (it's clean), blew out the lines, replaced the fuel filter and pump, and rebuilt the carb. the problem is still there. any suggestions?
