1992 Eagle Talon Turbo Tsi No Start!

I have recently encountered problems w/ starting my 1992 Ealge Talon AWD Turbo TSI. Does not matter if the car sits over night or 2 minutes. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it does not. It sounds as if the coil wire is not connected and just continues to turn over but does not start. I let it sit for 3-5 minutes and it fires right up. I know it is not a fuel filter because after the car starts it does not lug or bog down. Any suggestions? Also, when the car will not start it will not start when attempting to pop the clutch. Might be a firing problem? I have Splitfire plugs that are only 3 months old and look fine. Please shed some light onto the darkness that is known as "Baby," (the 92 Talon) Thanks, ROB

It's just a matter of hours before she'll start acting up again. weird? I guess I'll have to pony up for a diag charge.

well from your descriping it seems as if you arent getting fuel... when you first turn the key on can you hear your fuel pump turn on... also it could be your CAM (cam angle sensor) acting up causing your motor to not fire right and not spray the injectors at the right time!

Can that happen? Because when it's running it does not bog down or lug. You would think if it was not receiving fuel it would have to do one or the other, right?

yea but once its flowing its easier to keep flowing instead of letting it sit say overnight like you were saying!

my pump went out on my talon a few weeks ago, just turn the key on, engine off, and listen for the pump to run, if it isn't thats your problem. If it is, then check your delivery by spraying starter fluid in to start it, if it does start you have a fuel problem, if you dont, you could have an ignition or some kind of electical problem with sensors
