I ran my Vin the other day just to see what would come up and it came back saying that it was a Thunderbird LXSVT, I've never heard of such a thing, is this a paperwork screw-up or what?

Another thing, I've got a 96 3.8 and in all of the repair manuals I've seen it shows all of the 3.8's (except the s.c.) as having regular distributor systems, where as mine is D.I.S. Even when I get the people at autozone and pep boys to stock check the parts in their computer the DIS parts don't show up. I have to tell them to reference a 95 sc to get the parts that I need, (coil pack and wires). Is this some kind of limited factory option or could somebody else have swapped the systems (I bought car used).

Could it have been a 95 factory model originally sold in 96?

Either way only the 95 sc's had a distributorless ignition, the na 3.8's had a regular distributor.
