Hey, been checking out this forum for a couple months and thought I'd introduce myself. Just wondered what you thought of the set up. :eek7:

how'd you get that in there, just out of curiousity...

Just finally got the 6 speed in. Haven't had time to take pictures with college and all the finals! :banghead: I'll try and post pictures before next weekend.

I stuck the viper in there because stock it's rated to withstand at least 500 lb/ft. Plus I wanted a brand new trans, didnt want to rebuild. I got the trans from these guys --> www.ddperformance.com

any mods to the trans tunnel to get it in there (i know the viper has a different shifter placement than the GM t56)

Yeah, converted to the six speed from a TH-400 automatic transmission so had to cut a hole in the trans tunnel and fab up a shifter. It came with a shifter but it went straight up and when I put it into first my knuckles would hit the dash. Cost way too much, but was able to use the stock drive shaft. So that was a plus.

Atleast......i hope so since the viper stock is rated a 500HP and 500ft/lb of torque.

There have been alot of newbs out at this forum that seem kool when the join, but soon start causing trouble. Just a fair warning, i'm prettys ure you are reading the other threads as well, but just giving a heads up.Don't want a new guy that seems pretty good to get banned so fast.

Haven't tried it at the track yet. I raced my friend with a 02 civic ex with exhaust, intake, headers and only came frome behind him at a stop light to pass him up before I had the manual. Then he did the fly by after I had let up at eighty. At that point I was about 2-3 cars ahead of him. I wasn't really pushing it though.

Nah, I found a company that makes a supercharger (sneaky) for a stock hood look. That or I'm seriously debating a twin turbo set up. It'd be difficult, but very worth it.

did you get the D&D Viper Trans? i read up on it a couple of years ago.. supposedly suppose to allow you to surpass speeds of 200 mph if you have the power for it lol

Yeah, that's the one I got. I'd believe that. When I first did the swap I got up to a 100 in sixth gear and I was only pushing about 2000~2200 rpm. It was awesome. It's nice, since it's from a viper it's already got the shorter throws.
