one of the hinges on my rear window is broke. i was wondering you could just replace the outer molding that is attached to the hinges or do you have to replace the whole window (glass, rubber molding, hinges and all)?

Did you get a reply? I had the exact same thing happen today. Really stinks, don't you think?

yeah i got a reply....there is nothing you can do about it...i claimed it on my insurance and had to get a whole new back glass...it is all one piece and the glass cannot be taken out of the rubber casing....basically it sucks

we have a 2003 Tahoe and have the same problem. GMC wants $900.00 to fix. The window hardly ever gets used. There are three I have heard of around home.

yeha i ended up claiming mine on insurance and didn't have to pay anything but i found out that you do have to buy the whole new window...about a $600 piece...nothing else you can really do about it
