i've hit an impass....

ok...i'm having trouble decideing between these three things to do with the money i earn this summer. i want you guys to give your imput (though i know it may be biased).

1)sr20det in my 240sx, black top, lsd, fmic, and exhaust. pick up $1000 beat civic sedan. all totalled, probably $4500+

2)pick up $1000 civic sedan beater, strip it and drop in a b16a, make a 1900 lb car even lighter. not beat my 240sx up and create an amazing auto-x car, roll age and all. i would also drive this car in the winter with snow tires and be able to work on the 240 slowly and properly as i intend on keeping it for prosperity. 1700 lbs with about 185hp. all totalled, probably $4000, maybe less.

3)pick up a honda cbr 600 f2 and ride with my buddy. total, around $3500

what do you guys think, i'm not tryin to be super honda guy again and i'd like to build my 240sx while i have somethin else to tool around in. i hate beating up my 240sx (i really don't wanna drive it in the winter again). just let me know; 1, 2, or 3.

lol see you in the saaaaaaaame boat as me dog but yeah choice 1 sounds ok, just be weary beat up civics for 1 grand is not gonna be very reliable. purpose of a beater is to drive around in it lol. a 1k civic prolly doesnt have an engine. Ive looked emmensly, cheapest damn civic I can find is a Crx with 200k miles on it for 1500$ and thats pushing it. just make sure your not gonna have to do repairs on the civic man. thats why maybe you should look at choice 2. the reason I say this is because with choice 1 if you get the engine out your 240 and your civic dies your fucked. With choice 2 your 240 is still in good order and you can auto x with the civic. HOnestly wiring is abit simpler on a honda and theres so much god damn info out there and sources. Every damn auto mag has done a civic engine swap and every garage is willing to do one. PLus the civic would be alot cheaper on insurance as a weekend car then the 240 would. Ive looked into it. I honestly love the way 240's look. I personally have decided to run the Ka to the fucking ground till I Have to have an engine swap. and to buy a civic hatch and auto x wtih it. This is the best choice for me but I mean things with you may be diff. Dont be pressured into dropping a Sr20 engine inside your 240 because everyone and there moma is doing it. It sounds liek to me you wanna do some auto x'ing. Which I honestly thinks teaches you more then just winging it at drifting will. 240s arent the best auto x cars its difficult because there a tad heavy and lets face it they dont have alot of high end power. You put in an sr20 you wont be able to compete, and if you do youll be in a class youll just get raped in. Research more man and your final decision should reflect how much money your willing to spend and how long you plan to keep either car. Point blank find out what you want to do with each car. If you wanna auto x and track race do choice 2. If you wanna drift and risk wrecking your 240 do choice 1. Its all up to you.

i thought it through, and choice 1 is the way to go. if i go choice 2, i'll get off track and invest too much $$ into the civic (which in choice 1 is just a winter beater).

choice 3 however, well i'll have to overcome that urge when i have the $$ in the bank. i've wanted a bike for quite some time.

choice 3 is definatly on my mind a lot. especially since my friend got his cbr 600 f2. but i would paint it flat black and pick up bronze wheels.

sr20 is the way to go but forget 1000$ beater spend half of that on thai whores and get a car for like 200 bucks. get an old buick or some shit because who wants to drive a honda anyway.

Choice 3 might not get you to choice 4 but it will get you closer then any of the others. Nothing drops the panties like bikes do!
I consider myself more of a bike guy so I dont know how objective I can be on this. Every ride on a bike presents someting new. For me, getting on my Gixxer (600) is always great even if I'm just running an errand or whatever. (Always end up taking the long way!)
