I am checking out and hopefully picking up a 79 monte carlo today...what i wanted to know is how do i go about changing the material on the interior? i know this is a vague question, but what i need to know is....how do you stick material to the ceiling without have it sagging, and without damaging the roof of the vehice...do i have to take out the seats to cover them in material, or can i do it with them in it. any help would be appreciated....

Dude, you can pick up a new headliner (ceiling) off ebay,or there are lots of websites you can order them off of. you can do a search for monte enthusiast sites, and you can pick up a link to websites that specialize in parts specifically for your make and model. Same for seats, or any other interior parts. Good Luck! If all else fails, stop by your local scrap yard.

check this out....buy the material, then pull the headliner itself out, and glue the material to the headliner. then put the headliner back in. you'll have to pull off the trim all around the ceiling to get the headliner off. But it works......done it myself, lol. (i'm poor too)

there is a Forum for Car interiors.. I believe under Cars in General... If your doing it yourself go to a craft store and ask someone what kind of glue to use that wont bleed through.. your asking a auto guys about arts and crafts shit..Head over to the Interior Forum Im sure you will get some better help there.
