Sexy Accents

Just wondering if anyone is a sucker for accents like I am! :p What makes me ask is that a friend said they found my accent very sexy (personally I think it sounds :apuke: ). Anyways, as for me I love French and Canadian accents and there’s also something about that Chicago twang! :p

Women with European accents are so sexy! It really doesnt matter which country either(UK, France, Spain, Italy, Swedish.... etc) *Drool*

An accent like Penelope Cruz's (Vanilla Sky) is oh so a turn on! I also like English girl's accents. Some central american accents are kinda sexy too.

But seriously, I think most European accents are sexy. And I adore Scottish accents (I had a good time there).

And yes, NZ and Australian accents are really cute too :) (Note - this applies to women only... although my mate's accent from NZ isn't bad ;))

BTW, he often seems to say "shit yeah". heh Is that just him, or is it a NZ thing?

I find men with slight accents rather attractive. Whether they be from Europe, Australia, or even Michigan. :licker:

On another note...Australian men...hehe...

when I was in highschool (two long years ago), I was very close with (thats all I'll say about it) the spanish exchange student. And she came to my school from Spain for the whole year, so now, everytime I hear a girl from Spain with an accent, I just have to smile.

I think accents are very sexy....French, Canadian, Scottish, Irish....there is just something about them......:D

i only have a "standard American" accent, but a lot fo my (girl) friends say my voice is sexy, and that im a good singer. I can sing along perfectly to Rammstein, so i guess that makes my voice low. Never picked up a Polish or German accent because i've been living here (USA) since i was 1, BUT! when i speak german, the Germans i know say i dont sound like an american. uh. I guess that's good...um.

its kinda like a mix between a british and Australian accent, but more relaxed.

South African is sexy, I also like European (France, Italy, Spain) and North Island Kiwi (South Island is nothing more than mumbling Yee and nay) I don't like Southern State American accents or British Accents which I find annoying and whiney respectivley.

one of my favorite from a famous person was of this actress think she is Scottish, if you've seen the film Lady in Red i think that is the title actress name Kelly le Brock....very sexy accent/tone of voice.....:cool:

I am trying to take a little something with me to college so i am making a point of getting a bahston accent. Besides they are the funniest accents. A friend of mine got annoyed once and said she was going to fork me to death. she was a from southie so it came out closer to fahk or F*ck me to death so i had to laugh a lot. it was great.

Yeah, Southie accents are really thick. Are you from Ma? If so, where?

Yeah, I like a woman with a French accent (NOT French Canadian, which is a different beast entirely), Irish accent, and I actually dig a Southern (US) accent.

But Yogs also brings up a good point, that more than accent, tone of voice, which I think is affected not so much by accent, but rather inflection, which alters someone's tone of voice... if that makes any sense :confused:

A buddy of mine married a girl from England and she now lives here in the states with him......I pester her contantly to talk...she has the most sensuous voice......its gorgeous! I got to meet her family at the wedding and I sat in awe talking to her poor brother for hours! he musta thought I was a complete loon for wanting to listen to his accent!

It just makes them sound so exotic and innocent. It's like, "I don't know English very well, will you teach me?" Yeah baby!! Of course, this doesn't apply to the english accents.

I like most European accents. Scandinavian accents are sexy; remember that one Charlie's Angels scene... Hot sexy blondes... yummy. Irish, British, Aussie, Kiwi, French, Italian, Spanish (not Mexican), Korean, etc.

I haven't heard South African women talk, but I had a few SA male teachers. Very cool accent. It's like a relaxed British accent. I'd say it's a mix of British, Aussie, and Canadian.

VideoNasty: Dude, I can totally relate with what you say about being obsessed with accents. I love the sound of them. I can just listen to them for hours.

Btw: How can you Aussies and Kiwis live without being able to hear your cool accents! They're soooo cool!!! I just have a boring West Coast US English accent. (Of course, by the same token, I can't hear my "cool" accent either)

I get giddy over anything Australian or Irish (but not Dublin Irish--it's far too subdued)

Heck, my desktop pic is Heath Ledger not only b/c I like to pretend that I am Julia Stiles in "10 things I hate about you" but because his accent his meltable! And Darren Hayes from Savage Garden (I know :rolleyes: ) also had such a beautiful voice.

As for African, I had a friend in Kansas City who was from Zimbabwe and her accent was one of the coolest I've EVER heard! We even got to sing "Si a Humba" together! :D

I know it can happen pretty quickly. By the end of my week in Austin for New Years, I had honestly started to pick up a slight southern drawl (well, I guess more of a Texas drawl - there is a difference), which as I said above, I like - but it disappeared the minute I got off the plane in Hartford. It is this very subtle, laid-back accent.

I went out with a girl (woman) from England when I was in Scotland a few years ago. I think mainly I just wanted to listen to her voice (although she was pretty!)

I have a feeling she wanted to go out with me because everyone in Glasgow is short, and I was the only guy around taller than her 5'11" height :D

I didn't even know Canadians have accents. The best accent is the one Brad Pitt has in Snatch, hahaha. You couldn't even tell what he was saying half the time.

any oriental. Something from my lost youth, I guess. I stay far away from Welsh tho. Can neither understand it spoken or written.

I like southern accents. Not just on a girl. I just find them nice to hear on anybody. They have to have a good voice to go with it.

me, I like Irish accents. I guess becuase when I think of Irish I think of the Corrs, and those womens accents are just so damn sexy. I also like listening to Gaelic, it's such a beautiful language.

Anyway, I've got some twisted halfbreed accent. Half New Zealand, Half American(California). I have no idea how it sounds.

i like kentucky accents. my neighbors have them and its really cool. "nah GEET, dayam dawg!"

I'm a southern boy from the US and my wife watches Ab Fab, I cannot understand a word of it!! (LOL)
